Spooktacula - A Halloween concert
Date: October 11, 2010
Location: England, United Kingdom
Choir type: Community Choirs
Concert in the Victoria Theatre, Halifax UK on 30th November at 6pm.
Tickets £5 to £15 with generous concessions available from the theatre both in advance or on the night.
A very different concert is being staged with particular emphasis on youth groups and families. The concert will involve light hearted and fun music and will start at the unusually early time of 6pm to take into account that some of the very youngest members of the audience may be going home at "past their bedtime". It will be a very spooky affair!
Halifax Choral Society, the oldest and perhaps spookiest choral society in the world and the world famous and spell-binding Black Dyke Band will together give an evening never to be forgotten. Dressing up is encouraged as there will be a fancy dress parade involving both adults and children so come in your spookiest outfits. The music will be chosen from spooky and familiar family favourites, such as The Sorcerer’s apprentice, and music from the Harry Potter films and Phantom of the Opera. Chief Wizard, John Pryce-Jones with the help of his magic wand, will conduct and will ask for help from the audience. If you like joining in, this is the concert for you, if you like watching people join in, then this is also the concert for you as there will be no pressure to do anything other than watch...
