Location: New York, USA
Choir type: Children's and Youth Choirs

Usdan Center for the Creative and Performing Arts, the nationally renowned summer arts day camp now entering its 44th year, will present its first Open House for the 2011 season on Sunday November 7, at its 200-acre Huntington, Long Island campus.  Attended by more than 1500 children ages 6-18 from throughout New York City and the Tri-State Area, students are transported to the Center by air-conditioned buses.

Among its more than 40 programs in the arts, Usdan Center hosts Junior and Senior Choruses, who have performed at many special events, with distinguished professional conductors and soloists,  including the rarely-sung "Sacred Service" by Ernest Bloch at the 2010 Gala Concert, and the children's opera "Brundibar."   No audition is needed, just an interest.

The Sunday November 7 Open House, which will give families information on all programs, will be at the Center at 185 Colonial Springs Road from 11 AM to 2 PM.  Call (212) 772-6060, or (631) 643-7900, write to info@usdan.com, or visit www.usdan.com.  Families who cannot attend may make individual appointments for other dates.
