Start your Christmas season off with this festive concert, conducted and narrated by Noel Edison. The full Toronto Mendelssohn Choir will be joined by the Festival Brass and organist Michael Bloss for a feast of triumphant polychoral music for brass and choir, including works by Gabrieli, Rutter and Schütz. You'll also enjoy the premiere of Nova Nova, a new work by Canadian composer Mark Sirett commissioned by the TMC for this concert. The concert includes a popular audience sing-along of Christmas carol favourites.
The concert takes place Wednesday, December 8th at 7:30 pm in Toronto at Yorkminster Park Baptist Church (1585 Yonge St, just north of the St. Clair subway station). Tickets are $45-$73.
