This concert, entitled “Aukos Dvasia” (“The Spirit of Sacrifice”), is being held on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the killings of unarmed civilians at the Vilnius TV Tower on January 13th, 1991. The program will feature “Requiem” by John Rutter (acoompanied by instrumental ensemble and organ), “Misios” (Mass for mixed choir and organ) by Vidmantas Bartulis and “Taikos Dvasia” (Spirit of Peace) by Vaclovas Augustinas, along with other Lithuanian works.
