Complete Vocal Technique (CVT/Sadolin) course solo & ensemble singing Le Marche Italy 2-7 May 2011

Location: Italy

This special course is aimed at singers who wish to work intensively on their individual singing technique, learn (more) about the Complete Vocal Technique (CVT) method, network with other singers, and work on technical and musical aspects of ensemble singing. A week filled with intense vocal work, mixed with fun and relaxation on the beautiful Italian countryside!

2-7 May 2011 in Poggio San Marcello (Ancona), Le Marche area (ITALY)

The course is suited for intermediate to (semi)professional singers (solists, choir/acappella singers), choir directors, music teachers, and actors. For choir directors, singing teachers and music teachers CVT offers concrete tools to apply to your vocal teaching. It gives you efficient solutions for vocal issues like: solve unwanted vocal breaks, problems with intonation, difficulty reaching high/low notes, correct breath support, how to gain more volume/power, solve (and avoid) vocal problems such as hoarseness, master vocal effects like vibrato, healthy production of extreme vocal effects like distortion, growl, etc.

The techniques in CVT can be applied for all styles of singing - all genres of music are welcome (jazz, pop, classical, folk, country, musical, R&B, gospel, rock, etc.) During the week the techniques in CVT will be covered thoroughly and there is plenty of time for questions and individual attention. Although the course program involves intense work, it also includes time to experience the Italian spring, and enjoying the local sights, food and wine. The beautiful Italian countryside is a perfect place to get new inspiration for your singing! Because of the international character of the week the main teaching language will be English.

The daily program consists of CVT theory (anatomy of singing, principles of healthy sound production, breath support, twang, the techniques used for the four vocal modes Neutral, Curbing, Overdrive and Edge, sound color, healthy production of vocal effects, etc), exercises, and masterclasses. The masterclasses provide each individual participant time to work on a song or (technical) question of their own choice. The course encompasses many aspects of singing: vocal technique, performance, intonation, rhythm, phrasing, interpretation, singing in a choir and with other singers. Once a day the entire group comes together to work on choir/acappella singing. During the choir sessions we will work on musical aspects such as rhythm, groove, purity of tone, blending, but above all enjoy singing and making music together! All sessions are laid out as group instruction.

Applications for the course are now open
The maximum amount of participants is set to 16, and most of the time we will work in two smaller groups. Both groups will receive instruction from both course instructors. Read full course description on the Complete Vocal Coach website.
