History of the choir "Tonic" has its origin from the opening of Minsk central music school in 1926.
The name "Tonica" choir has since 1987.
From 1987 to 2008 directed the choir Vladimir Klunduk. During this period, the choir repeatedly became the winner of various national, city festivals and competitions.
In 1999, the choir was awarded 2nd prize IV International Festival of Orthodox Chants (Minsk)
Since 2008, the graduate of the Belarusian State Academy of Music, Master of Arts Alexey SNITKO became new leader of the choir. For several months the collective has prepared the new program, and successfully confirmed the title of "exemplary amateur choir". In the new concert program was presented works of different styles and genres - from gregorian and znamenny chant to contemporary music.
In 2010, the Tonica choir took part in the XV Congress of the Belarusian Union of Composers and became winner (winner of the 1st prize) of the First Belarusian national contest-festival of choral music "Echo" ("Recha") (Minsk).
Chorus of "Tonic" represents children's choral art of Belarus abroad. The team traveled to Italy, Vatican, Sweden, Germany and England.
