Albany (NY) Pro Musica High School Choral Festival

Location: New York, USA
Choir type: School Choirs
Albany Pro Musica's 11th annual High School Choral Festival, in the acoustically fabulous Troy Music Hall.
The format is simple:   Local high schools choirs and Pro Musica perform individually, then we all get together for a big finale, approximately 300 singers plus 80 instrumentalists.

This year we have with six high school choirs as well as the Empire State Youth Orchestra (ESYO) Repertory Orchestra. The combined works are Randall Thompson's “The Last Words of David” and “Choose Something Like a Star” and the Wilhousky arrangement of  “The Battle Hymn of the Republic.”  I've done them all many times but never with a full orchestra.

Sunday, Feb 13, 4:00, Troy Music Hall.
