Hat Trick is an all male student-run a cappella ensemble consisting 12 students from Stetson University (DeLand, Florida). Hat Trick was founded in September 2008 by James Pecar.  They perform a wide array of music consisting of classical, jazz, popular tunes, and much more, and also require members to write their own arrangements. Every member of the ensemble is provided with a significant amount of podium time to gain real life experience directing an ensemble and running rehearsals. In the Fall of 2010, Hat Trick participated and earned First Place in "America's Next Great Star", a touring competition seeking out the top talent on college campuses throughout the United States. Hat Trick was also accepted to compete in the Southern Region of Varsity Vocals' "International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella" (ICCA), based on live recordings of arrangements written by members in the ensemble. Members of Hat Trick pursue various degrees, including Vocal Performance, Music Education, Bachelor of Music in Business, Digital Arts, Russian Studies, Religious Studies, and Graduate Degrees in Business Administration.
