The 70-voice Mendelssohn Singers, Festival Orchestra and five stellar soloists, under conductor Noel Edison, will perform Bach's first setting of the Passion. Edison has brought together five soloists known for their interpretations of Bach: soprano Suzie LeBlanc; mezzo-soprano Laura Pudwell; tenor Rufus Muller (as the Evangelist); tenor Lawrence Wiliford; and bass-baritone Daniel Lichti. They will perform the St. John Passion in the original German with English surtitles. Pre-concert chat at 6:50 pm.
