Choral Saturday: An Early Spring Workshop

v  Looking to brush up on your sightreading, language skills, audition preparedness or musicality?

v  Want to meet other singers in the New York area?

v  Looking to find a choral group to sing with?

If you answered yes to any of these, then you won’t want to miss the choral workshop hosted by Cappella New York, a prestigious community-professional chorus, with leading New York musicians including Phillip Cheah who conducts the Central City Chorus, Cappella's own Music Director David Enlow, language expert Margaret Loss and Cappella Vice-Chairman and seasoned choral/opera singer Alyson Campbell for audition tips.

The day includes:

  • Sight singing
  • Language refresher
  • Audition preparation discussion
  • Piece preparation from choral literature, including a performance “just for us”
  • Score and handouts

There will be light refreshments, and, of course, a lunch break – feel free to brownbag or visit any of the great places in the neighborhood.

When: Saturday, March 19, 2011, 10:30 am – 5:00 pm
