Halifax Choral Society are possibly the oldest choral society in the world with an unbroken record of continuing performance which dates back to 1817. During this time it was thought that the Choral Society had performed all the major works, but it seems that they have never before performed the St.John Passion in all those years.. until now... Described as Holy Week portrayed in sublime music. This concert will be sung in English.
Soloists:- Sarah-Jane Brandon sop, Madeleine Shaw mezzo, Joshua Ellicott tenor and Darren Jeffrey bass
