Gabriel Fauré: Requiem in D minor, Op. 48
Pacific Chorale presents David Lang’s The Little Match Girl Passion, winner of the 2008 Pulitzer Prize in Music, and Gabriel Fauré’s Requiem. The 140-voice Chorale and the 24-voice John Alexander Singers will be joined by Pacific Symphony for this concert, which also features Giacomo Carissimi’s choral lament “Plorate filii Israel” from the oratorio Jephte. April is Child Abuse Prevention Month, and at this concert Pacific Chorale will pay tribute to the work done by area organizations in combating this critical issue.
