On Sunday, May 15th, at 7 PM the Orchard Park Chorale will present a Spring concert of Music from New York City featuring solos and choral works emphasizing Broadway, Harlem and Lincoln Center. The concert will take place at Orchard Park Presbyterian Church, 4679 S. Buffalo Street, Orchard Park NY 14127. Admission is $10.
From Persichetti's "dominic has a doll": to Copland's Promise of Living, including Rosephayne Dunn Powell's "I have a dream" and Roland Carter's arrangment of "Lift Every Voice and Sing", the chorale will share the varied riches of America's city that never sleeps. Featured soloist is Karen E. Williams, noted Gospel Singer and educator with her trio.
Orchard Park Chorale is a mixed voice Community Chorus of 60 voices that has celebrated its 35th season in 2010. The music director is Kathleen Keenan-Takagi.
