On Sunday, April 17 at 8:30 pm in Carnegie Hall, we will feature the Masterworks Festival Chorus with New York City Chamber Orchestra performing John Rutter’s “Mass of the Children” conducted by Jeffery Redding. Mr. Redding is longtime MCP friend and acclaimed musician who has conducted numerous Honor and All-State choirs around the country. His ensemble, the Garden Community Choir of Florida, will also appear in a solo performance on this program highlighting a performance of “Gloria Fanfare” by Jeffery Ames, works by Stanford Screven, Dan Davison and an encore by Keith Hampton.

The concert opens with the National Women’s Festival Chorus led by guest conductor and Director of the Michigan State University Women’s Chamber Ensemble, Dr. Sandra Snow. They will perform works by Stephen Paulus, Susan Borwick, a unique presentation of “Ad Amore” by Lee Kesselman whom will be seated in the audience, and close with a lovely piece titled “Lay Earth’s Burden Down,” co-composed by Sean Ivory and Paul Caldwell.
