Take a trip with Choral Arts Ensemble and guitarist Jeffrey Van through the winding rivers of Granada and the streets of Seville in Tedesco's masterpiece for choir and guitar Romancero Gitano (Gypsy Ballad Book). Back home on American soil, revel and reflect in the Civil War poetry of Walt Whitman in Van's work A Procession Winding Round Me, which features several of Whitman's most beloved poems. Also on the program will be the premiere of a new work commissioned and performed with the Zumbro Lutheran Choir and arranged by Mack Wilberg, conductor of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Lastly, CAE's concert season will draw to an exhilarating close with a sampling of favorite spirituals and folk songs from around the world.
