Join usfor a day of heart-felt singing while we explore the richness of Appalachian ballads, early gospel, and choral singing from Zimbabwe. Brendan has just returned from three weeks in Zimbabwe and has lots of great songs and stories to share. All songs will be taught by ear and no experience is necessary.

Brendan Taaffe is a singer, community choir leader, contra dance caller, composer, arranger, performer and teacher who has taught with Village Harmony, and given vocal workshops in Ireland, Bulgaria, England, Zimbabwe, and the U.S. He holds a Master's degree in Traditional Music from the University of Limerick and is known for his dynamic conducting, as well as his warmth, caring, and generosity as a teacher. He also plays a mean guitar, fiddle, button accordian, and the mbira—a traditional instrument from Zimbabwe .
