The Canticum Novum Singers Present All-Josquin des Prez Concert on May 14 at St. Ignatius of Antioch Church in Manhattan
 
The Canticum Novum Singers, Harold Rosenbaum, Conductor and Artistic Director, will present an all-Josquin des Prez program on Saturday, May 14 - 8:00 PM at St. Ignatius of Antioch Church, West End Avenue at 87th Street in Manhattan.
 
The choir will perform Josquin des Prez’ Missa La Sol Fa Re Mi, one of the most renowned examples of the soggeto cavato technique, along with a wide variety of the legendary composer’s chansons, motets and frottole.
 
Tickets for the May 14 concert are $25 and $15 for students and seniors over 65, available from TicketCentral at 212-279-4200 (no surcharge). Called “an elite chorus” by the New York Times, The Canticum Novum Singers is now in its 38th season under the direction of its founder, Harold Rosenbaum.
