Renaissance Voices, directed by G. Kevin Dewey, will present a concert of sacred and secular music at 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 5 at North Congregational Church, 36520 Twelve Mile, Farmington Hills. The 16-voice ensemble will present the choral premiere of Sungji Hong’s “Missa Lumen de Lumine.” Ms. Hong, a contemporary South Korean composer, was commissioned by Trio Mediaeval to write this a cappella setting of the Latin mass. Renaissance Voices will be the first choir to perform the entire work.

The concert will also feature selections by Johannes Brahms, Houston Bright, Paul Caldwell/Sean Ivory, Claude Debussy, Gabriel Fauré, Ron Nelson, John Rutter, and Michele Weir. There will be a special 15th anniversary appearance by the 1996 Renaissance Voices Great Britain tour group.

The women of Renaissance Voices enjoy performing the finest in treble choral literature in a variety of styles and languages. The group, based at Henry Ford Community College in Dearborn, has taken four overseas concert tours and released three CDs.

Tickets for the concert are $10, with a $7 rate for students and seniors. For information or tickets, call (313) 317-6566 or visit www.renvoices.org.
