Swinging with APM - Albany (NY) Pro Musica Pops Concert

Location: New York, USA
Choir type: Community Choirs
Voicing: Mixed

Albany  Pro Musica  performs its 2nd annual POPS concert twice this weekend, Friday and Saturday evenings.

Performed in the historic Shaker Meeting House, a building specifically designed for hymn singing.

The concert features, solos, duets, trios, quartets, quintets... as well as the full chorus.

The repertory spans the last 75 years but features  Sondheim and Rodgers & Hammerstein (or Rodgers & Hart).  But also other great teams:  Lerner & Loewe, Kander & Ebb

Broadway is represented by Annie Get Your Gun, Passion, The Music Man, West Side Story, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Ragtime, Brigadoon, Fiddler on the Roof, and The Student Prince.  But there’s more than that.  ”Taylor the Latte Boy” and “The Girl in 14G” just might steal the show.

7:30 both nights at the Shaker Heritage Society Meeting House.

Seating is both cabaret style and auditorium style, but limited to 200 per night.  And unlike all of our other concerts, wine is available. (:-)

Tickets:  518-438-6548
