Transient Glory® Symposium-February 15-18, 2012
Date: July 15, 2011
Location: New York, USA
From February 15 to 18, 2012, music educators and conductors will have the opportunity to take part in the Transient Glory Symposium, which launches Carnegie Hall’s first annual Choral Institute. The Transient Glory Symposium is presented in partnership with the Young People’s Chorus of New York City (YPC), in association with Chorus America. It focuses on teacher training of newly commissioned works for children’s chorus from the Transient Glory commissioning program of YPC and is specially designed to help participants become more comfortable with conducting challenging contemporary music. Participants will work directly with master teachers and the composers--Derek Bermel, John Corigliano, David Del Tredici, Paquito D'Rivera, Michael Gordon, and Joan Tower. For more information or to apply now visit carnegiehall.org/ChoralInstitute or call Carnegie Hall at 212-903-9625.
