YOUNG PEOPLE’S CHORUS OF NEW YORK CITY™ CREATE VIDEO TO PREPARE FOR WORLDWIDE 9-11 COMMEMORATIONS

The Young People’s Chorus of New York City will lead an outdoor congregation of all good people coming together in peace and unity to sing “Give Us Hope” by composer Jim Papoulis at Merchant’s Gate (the Columbus Circle and Central Park South entrance to Central Park) at 5 p.m. on Friday, September 9, as part of the September Concert Foundation’s four days of 9/11 memorials to those lost 10 years ago on September 11, 2001. The September Concert Foundation encourages as many people as possible to sing the song with YPC at that time. or any other time during the four-day commemoration period.
To prepare for the performances of “Give Us Hope,” YPC Artistic Director Francisco J. Núñez and New York Choral Society conductor John Daly Goodwin have collaborated on several videos that teach soprano, alto, tenor, and bass parts for the song.
