2012 CHILDREN OF THE WORLD IN HARMONY International Choir and Dance Festival announced.
Voices Without Borders, Inc.(VWB) is currently accepting applications from choir and dance ensembles for the 20th CHILDREN OF THE WORLD IN HARMONY international choir & dance festival to be held July 21-July 26, 2012 in the Petoskey/Little Traverse Bay Area of Michigan. This is the fourth year the festival has been held in the Little Traverse Bay area (Petoskey) Michigan. Information and application forms may be found at www.vwbchoir.com
In the past three years, groups from Canada, Mongolia, Vietnam, China, Mexico, Thailand, Germany, Belgium Czech Republic, and several states of the United States have presented to audiences of approximately 15,000 people at the festival. If you are interested in applying to participate, you are encouraged to do so immediately since several groups have indicated an interest and there are a limited number of spaces available. Dr. Julian Ackerley will serve as the Artist Director/Conductor of the VOICES WITHOUT BORDERS INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL CHOIR at the 2012 Festival. Choirs that cannot not send a full choir, but who wish to associate with the festival by sending children to sing in the Voices Without Borders International Festival Choir (VWB Festival Choir) may nominate up to six singers. These singers, along with singers from the Festival’s participating choirs will form the Voices Without Borders International Festival Choir. Nominations for membership in the VWB choir should be made as soon as possible as space in this choir is limited.
