Love's Sweet Torments: Madrigals, Part Songs and Dances of the Renaissance

Madregalia and the Pastyme Consort under the direction of Jeff DeMarco will reprise this concert of madrigals, partsongs and dances of the Renaissance on Sunday, August 28, 2011 at 3pm. The concert will take place at Carmel Presbyterian Church, Mountain View and Junipero in Carmel, CA. 
The program includes works by Dowland, Jannequin, Arcadelt, Verdelot, Encina, Wilbye, Praetorius, Gallus, Banchieri, di Lasso, Holborne, Arbeau and Henry VIII. 
Come join the fun! The concert lasts just about an hour, and admission is free. There will be a chance to talk to the performers afterwards over cookies and other refreshments and see the Renaissance style instruments.
