about Blue Heron

"...expressive intensity, even a hint of Baroque flair...fine gradations of dynamics; pungent diction; telling contrasts of ethereal and earthly timbres; tempos that are more lusty than languid; a way of propelling a phrase toward a goal..."

Alex Ross, The New Yorker

about Ensemble Plus Ultra

"These are the performers who knocked us all out a couple of years ago with their recording of newly-discovered liturgical music by Morales... Noone and his singers have a gift .. for bringing the details out of what seems like a solid imitative structure"

Kenneth Kreitner, Early Music
