London's Tenebrae Choir in PHILADELPHIA

On Friday November 4, 2011 at 8:00 P.M, The Inaugural season of Concerts at the Cathedral Basilica at the Cathedral Basilica of SS Peter and Paul, Philadelphia invites you to come and experience great music great music in a Cathedral space with the renowned Tenebrae Choir, London. This is the Choirs DEBUT performance in Philadelphia.
Performing by candlelight in the sonic splendor of the Basilica, Tenebrae creates an atmosphere of spiritual and musical reflection, where medieval chant and renaissance works are interspersed with contemporary compositions to create an ethereal mood of contemplation. The beautiful acoustics and lighting effects of a Tenebrae concert are further enhanced by the choir’s dramatic use of movement around the performing space. As singers move around their surroundings to explore all possible sound perspectives, each member of the audience is able to experience the power and intimacy of the human voice.
Tickets: $25 for General Seating and $35 for special front seating
