IFAS 2012 - 22th International Festival of Academic Choirs 3. - 8. 7. 2012

Dear friends,
We are happy to have possibility to invite you and your choir to festival IFAS. Our festival has been growing since 1968 to present status, where choirs from around whole Word participate in each year and we have counted that there were participating 294 choirs from 27 countries from its beginning.
The following types of choirs may participate in the festival:
- choirs from universities and academies
- choirs from college-level vocational schools
- choirs in which at least 75% of the membership is between the ages of 18 and 30
Competition categories:
- mixed choirs (A1, B, C, D)
- mixed chamber choirs (A2, B, C, D)
- women’s choirs (A3, B, C, D)
- men’s choirs (B2, C, D)
Participants will enjoy besides the international competition also a variety of social activities as are concerts, informal group singing, IFASIÁDA (a competition consisting of comical non-traditional sporting events), and the IFAS ball, where the popular IFAS Superstar will take place.
Participating choirs will be awarded with diplomas and material prizes, and the best choirs from the gold level will receive financial prizes. The best university choir will receive The Pardubice University Rector’s Award, and the best choir of the festival will earn the Grand Prix IFAS 2012.
