Location: New Jersey, USA
The Newark Boys Chorus School is pleased to welcome new members to our staff.
Joining our accompaniment team this year are Jody Doktor and Peter Nycanwa. They, along with our veteran accompanist George Davey, make up a vital component of our music program. We also welcome a new Director of Development, Brie Kalenich. Brie will be helping us preserve our future as she assists us in marketing, recruitment, and patronage. Our 42 year history continues!
4th or 5th grade boys in the Greater Newark area who enjoy singing and want to pursue a fine education are encouraged to apply for admission. We have spaces available in both our Fourth and Fifth Grades this year.
The Newark Boys Chorus School's course of study is for boys in grades 4 through 8 and is accredited by the Commission on Secondary School of the Middle States Association. Along with a fine academic program, our boys sing in one of our choruses: the Apprentice Chorus (our training chorus directed by Michael Sanflippo) and the highly acclaimed Concert Chorus (directed by Donald C. Morris). The experiences boys encounter here are invaluable to their education. Opportunities to travel and perform in venues around the city, state, country, and the world, are unforgettable and give our graduates an edge to succeed in high school and beyond.
We wish Jody, Peter, and Brie a warm welcome to our school family!
