The University Chorus of the University of California, Berkeley performs "Hail, Britannia" this Saturday night at Hertz Hall, 8pm. The program includes masterworks from England including sublime renaissance motets, soaring Church of England Anthems and the somewhat rarely heard "Flos Campi," a suite for solo viola, small orchestra and wordless chorus by Ralph Vaughan Williams. The concert will feature viola soloist Christy Simpson, soprano soloist, Deborah Benedict and will be conducted by guest director, Matthew Oltman, music director emeritus of Chanticleer.
Tickets are available at the door; $5-$15.
