Melodia Women's Choir of NYC sings Amy Beach, premieres and more

Location: New York, USA
Choir type: Chamber Choirs and Vocal Ensembles
Voicing: Women
Melodia Women's Choir's ninth season opens with two concerts titled "Journey," featuring a rare performance of The Chambered Nautilus by Amy Beach, a neglected giant of American music, and the world premiere of "The Journey" by Catherine Aks, a gifted voice of the present.

Artistic Director Cynthia Powell says "The power of growth and change is our journey's connecting thread. Beach and Aks have their work set to the words of two poets who pay tribute to the indomitable human spirit."
