Shiru! A Participatory Singer's Workshop with Baysa Schechter

The Colorado Hebrew Chorale announces the launch of Shiru! (Sing!), the first of two participatory singer's workshops being held during its 2011-2012 season, on Sunday evening, December 4, 2011, 7 p.m., at the Mizel Museum, 400 South Kearney Street, Denver CO 80224. Baysa Schechter, acclaimed singer, songwriter, and bandleader of the world music ensemble Pharoah's Daughter, will lead the audience in selections from her eclectic repertoire. Participants are encouraged to bring their own percussion in addition to their voices ("Dude, bring your oud!"). Admission-$7 in advance, $10 at the door.
