Mansfield University Holiday Concerts

Location: Pennsylvania, USA
Choir type: College and University Choirs
The annual holiday choral concerts will be presented by the Mansfield University choral ensembles under the direction of Peggy Dettwiler on December 2nd, 3rd, and 4th at 7:30 pm in Steadman Theatre. The motto for this year's series of concerts is "Winter Wonderland."  A gorgeous backdrop showing a snowy landscape has been ordered to provide the atmosphere along with lots of festive music-making.  Music for men's, women's, and mixed choirs that features texts about snow and winter will include some old standards: The Christmas Song, Walking in a Winter Wonderland, and White Christmas. Classics of the standard repertoire from the Renaissance to the Contemporary will also be featured, and familiar carols with audience participation with add to the holiday spirit.   Tickets will sell to adults for $10, seniors for $8, and students & children for $5.  Students, faculty, and staff with MU ID will be admitted free of charge.  Visit music.mansfield.edu to purchase tickets online.
