ABINGTON CHORAL CLUB WILL PRESENT ITS 64th ANNUAL WINTER CONCERT.

The Abington Choral Club will present its 64th Annual Winter Concert  ~ “Rejoice! A Festive Celebration! “ ~ on Saturday December 3, 2011 at 8 PM in the Abington Senior High School Auditorium, 970 Highland Avenue, Abington, Pa. 19001

Under the direction of Peter Hilliard and accompanied by Roburt Gajdos, the 80-voice chorus will perform music in celebration of the Holiday Season. The concert will include classics such as “Hallelujah Chorus” and other selections from Handel’s  ~ “The Messiah”  plus Meir Finkelstein’s ~ “L’ Dor Vador”. Among the many contemporary selections will be Harry Simeone’s ~  “Twas the Night before Christmas” , Mac Huff’s  ~ “Have Yourself a Merry Christmas”, Anita Kerr’s ~ “ We Need A Little Christmas ”, Douglas E. Wagner’s ~ “Rejoice”, Chuck Bridwell’s  ~  Various Themes on “ Fa-La-La  ” `along with a few surprises. Premiere pieces by Tim Shaw. Also Nancy Reale Giffords "Gloria" will be performed. Selections with a harp and flute, The concert will also include ‘a piano duet by Roburt Gadjos and Peter Hilliard.’ 

No tickets are required and admission is free. However donations will be gladly accepted at the door so that ACC may continue its out reach program throughout the community.
