Sunday, December 18, 3:00 PM, at Friendship Baptist Church, 2912 Pleasant Grove Road, Lansing, MI 48910, the Chancel Choir (with 12 guests from the community and FBC) presents, A Candlelight Vesper - features excerpts from "Handel's Messiah."  Guest Tenor, LaVonté Heard (sophomore at Central State University, Wilberforce, Ohio), will sing "Comfort ye my people” and "Every valley shall be exalted."  Soprano, Denise Coelho, will sing “Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion.”  

Also, the St. Stephen's Community Church Children's Bell Choir will perform.  The bell choir is conducted by Dr. Pat Barnes-McConnell, Director. 

Conducting Handel's Messiah is Dr. Gloria S. Smith, Director of the Chancel Choir.  Adell Flourry, Jr. will be at the organ.

A freewill offering will be accepted.
