Call for Session Proposals

ACDA-PA 18th Annual Summer Conference
Interest Sessions Call for Proposals
July 29-31, 2012

ACDA-PA members and members of associate professional and scholarly societies are invited to submit session proposals for the ACDA-PA 18th Annual Summer Conference to be held in University Park, PA on the Pennsylvania State University campus, on July 29-31, 2012. Only applications made using this form will be accepted.

Due Date: Monday, April 30, 2012

Notification of acceptance will be delivered electronically by Friday, May 18.

The selection committee will be guided in their acceptance process by the following criteria:

* quality of the written outline or abstract including its objectives and organization;
* importance and timeliness of the topic;
* practical applicability to the membership of the State of Pennsylvania; and
* overall conference program balance.

A variety of session formats are offered. The committee will consider lectures, clinics, panels, demonstration sessions, repertoire sessions, or any other forum that speaks to the musical, intellectual, and technical issues faced by choral musicians. It is also expected that the full palette of interest sessions, as a whole, will reflect a wide spectrum of styles, cultures, literature and musicians.

NOTE: some presenters, at the discretion of the selection committee, may be asked to provide the session twice during the conference.

Please submit this completed form and the required documents listed below to:

Dr. Jason Bishop
Penn State Erie
4951 College Drive

Questions about the proposal process can be sent to Dr. Jason Bishop at djb46@psu.edu.
