Seicento's unique program From Lament to Light  includes the Biber Requiem in F minor; Heinrich Schutz's Musikalische Exequien, and a cantata by Johann Kuhnau, all with period instruments. The concert features vocal soloists Amanda Balestrieri, Abigain Chapman, Marjorie Bunday, Frederick A. Peterbark, Philip Fryer and Seicento's Artistic Apprentice in Early Music, Kenneth Donahue. Baroque violinist, Mimi Mitchell, founding member of the Locke Consort based in Amsterdam, will head the period orchestra, with Lark Powers and guest Rene Schiffer, principal cellist of Apollo's Fire on continuo.  Seicento, Colorado's premier baroque choir, is Ensemble in Residence at First United Methodist Church of Boulder and under the direction of Evanne Browne.
