It is the common thread of humanity which connects us all - the circle of life - and this unexpected, rarely performed work by American composer Randall Thompson takes us on an uplifting and moving journey from the depths of sadness to the heights of joy.  Thompson's Requiem, an 80-minute a cappella tour-de-force, culminates the 2011-2012 season.  The Requiem was last performed nearly 30 years ago, making this a rare revisiting of this masterwork.
