Voices United Conducting Masterclass with Tim Sharp

The Voices United Conducting Masterclass led by Dr. Tim Sharp, executive director of ACDA will take place on Friday, August 10th during the Voices United Conference (8/9 – 8/11/12) at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA (Washinton DC metro).  Four to six participants will be selected to work directly with Dr. Sharp and each will receive 10 to 20 minutes of podium time. The committee seeks to select participants from a wide cross section of conducting interests, experience, and working situations. We encourage applications from a full range of conductors: from current conducting students to seasoned professionals.
 
All conductors, who are members of ACDA (or affiliate organizations like AGO) are welcome to apply. There is no application fee or participation fee, but participants are expected to register for either the conference or at least the single day of the master class.

• Video uploaded to YouTube (see guidelines below) of a rehearsal of no less than 10 minutes preferably showing a direct front image of the conductor;
• Resume or C.V. showing your conducting experience, education, and current activities (can be e-mailed);
Optional: an additional YouTube video selection showing a performance (not required, but may be included). All applicants will be notified regarding selection by June 1, 2012. Repertoire for the master class will be selected in consultation with the participants following the confirmation of those selected.
