Date: March 5, 2012
Choir type: Community Choirs
Acappellago will present three performances of its annual spring concert. The first performance of “Escape to…Where Time Flies” will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2012, at 7:30 pm in the
Event Hall at Mayslake Peabody Estate, 1717 W. 31st Street, Oak Brook. This program will be repeated on Sunday, March 18, 2012 at 4:00 pm at the New Covenant Church, Naperville and again at the Congregational Church of Batavia, 21 S. Batavia Avenue, across from the Batavia Public Library.
In honor of Acappellago’s tenth season, the music will take its audiences around the clock with “My Lord, what a Morning,” “Great Day,” “After Sunset” by the late Robert Young and “Morning Star" by Arvo Part. Songs will also celebrate methods of keeping time with the Kings' Singers arrangement of an old favorite, “Grandfather’s Clock," as well as “Clocks” by award-winning Canadian composer, Stephen Chatman, as well as the times of our lives with the popular favorites “Seasons of Love,” “When I’m Sixty-Four” and “Always.”
Single tickets for each of Acappellago’s concerts are $15/$12 for students and seniors and are available via the Internet by visiting: www.Acappellago.org . For more information about any Acappellago event, visit: www.Acappellago.org.
