On March 10, 2012 at 7:30 p.m., the San Gabriel Valley Choral Company will present: “Rejoice!” The concert features Benjamin Britten’s Rejoice in the Lamb and Henry Purcell’s Rejoice in the Lord Alway.

 

The concert will take place at First Presbyterian Church, 101 East Foothill Boulevard, in Monrovia. Tickets are $15 at the door, $12 for seniors and students. Founded in 1995, the San Gabriel Valley Choral Company is a non-profit choir comprised of singers from throughout the southland who have a variety of musical experience. The Choral Company sings a broad repertoire, including classical, spirituals, pop, jazz, opera and theater. Mr. Ruggieri is also the Music Director of the famed Gilbert and Sullivan repertory company Opera a la Carte, as well as Music Director of the 32-year-old University Campus Choir in Westwood. For five years he was also the Artistic Director of the Los Angeles Bach Festival and for seventeen years he was Artistic Director of the Cambridge Singers in Pasadena.
