The Chapel of Charlemagne, Los Angeles premiere Gregorian Chant schola, will sing chants for Lent and Easter, with sung vespers, at 5pm, on Sunday, March 11, at St. Mary of the Angels Church, in Hollywood. The program is free and open to the public.
Founded in 1984, by Dr. Robert Fowells, the Chapel of Charlemagne is the performance group for the Los Angeles Gregorian Institute at the Roger Wagner Center for Choral Studies, California State University Los Angeles. Their program will include Laetare Jerusalem (Rejoice with Jerusalem), Misereris Omnium (Your mercy extends to all things), Hosanna Filio David (Hosanna to the Son of David), Resurrexi and Tenebrae Factae Sunt.
