following up Chorus America survey - increase in choral singing worldwide?

Hello, all - I am interested in finding out whether there has been any research done, following up the Chorus America survey in 2009, that might point to a (possible) increase in the number of people worldwide who are singing in choruses/choirs? Thank you for any information you might provide. Best regards, Shyla Nelson, Good Earth Singers: www.goodearthsingers.org

Europa Cantat is doing great new things and has an active new Director, who gave a recent presentation at the Frstival 500 in St. John's, Newfoundland, in July 2013.

Dear Shyla,

the European Choral Association Europa Cantat is doing a statistical research to find out how many singers are in Europe. There will not be a comparison of the presence with the past but of course it would be a great thing if with the results we can argue that any European country has more singers that it has ever been estimated.
best regards
Roman Bartel
PS: Good Earth Singers, your initiative is fantastic.
