Festival of Global Vocal Music for High-School-Age Singers Accepting Applications Through March 31

The deadline of March 31 is approaching to register for the Lutheran Youth Choir of North America's new 2012 Festival of Global Vocal Music in Chicago, Illinois, July 29-August 6. Experienced high-school-age singers from across the US and Canada are invited to apply; they will be joining 20 German students and 21 returning American students from the choir's 2011 Festival in Mansfeld, Germany who will be coming to Chicago to participate. Highlights of the eight-day festival include a clinic and gala concert with composer Keith Hampton and the Keith Hampton Singers; workshops in global percussion, vocal development, and world cultures; and sightseeing and recreation in Chicago and the surrounding area. Tuition, room and board, and music are $875. Scholarship assistance is available.
