"I Hear America Singing" - Hudson Valley Chorale (Rockland)

The Hudson Valley Chorale will embark on a journey across the varying styles of American music in its spring concert, “I Hear America Singing”  on Saturday, May 19  at 7:30 pm to be held at Dominican Convent Rosary Chapel, 175 Route 340, Sparkill, NY.  Selections range from early colonial times, Appalachian and Shaker folk harmonies, jazz, soul-stirring patriotic hymns and flag-waving favorites. In short, there will be something for everyone, including songs designed for a little audience participation. The Chorale will be under the direction of its Artistic Director, Dr. Jason Tramm.
Admission is $15; a reception will follow. Tickets can be ordered by calling (845) 598-6749.

  • "Salute to the Armed Forces" (arr. C. Kirkland)
  • "The Battle Hymn of the Republic" (arr. Wilhousky)
