Cordus Mundi & Friends Return to Solebury, PA
Acclaimed Bucks County-based male a cappella a group Cordus Mundi has invited some friends to join them for the group's season-ending concert on Sunday, June17 at 4:00 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church in Solebury, PA. For the majority of the program, Cordus Mundi will be joined by a select group of soprano and alto “Friends”, to create a full choir of twenty-eight voices. The combined ensemble is once again led by talented guest conductor Dr. David N. Fryling, Associate Professor of Music and Director of Choral Studies at Hofstra University.
In typical Cordus fashion, repertoire for this unique program is drawn from a wide range of musical styles, eras and composers, and includes Morten Lauridsen’s accompanied Mid-Winter Songs with pianist Timothy Harrell, as well as a cappella works from Debussy, Monteverdi, Whitacre, Belmont, Barnum and more. Cordus Mundi and their female Friends will each be featured in individual program segments before the singers are joined into one group.
Tickets for “Cordus Mundi & Friends” are $15, and there is no charge for children under 12. To reserve tickets or for additional concert information, contact Cordus Mundi at 650.219.2748, online at www.cordusmundi.com, or on Facebook.
