The University of North Texas Collegium Singers (Richard Sparks, conductor) on June 7 performed Tomas Luis de Victoria's Officium defunctorum (Requiem) at the Berkeley Early Music Festival, under the auspices of Early Music America.
The performance is now available on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EUBIxg6ZpKE&feature=youtube_gdata_player
The Collegium Singers are a part of both the outstanding choral program at UNT, led by Jerry McCoy, and the Early Music Program, one of the largest in the United States. UNT has a superb collection of period instruments and has a full-fledged 18th century Baroque Orchestra (led by Paul Leenhouts), Baroque Trumpet Ensemble, Sackbut Ensemble, and instruction in most period instruments.
