Date: July 2, 2012
Location: California, USA
Choir type: Community Choirs
Singers of the Street (S.O.S.) is a San Francisco-based choir for people affected by homelessness.
We have been selected as the sole choir from the United States to be part of ‘With One Voice’, a one-night special event at the Royal Opera House to showcase the skills of 300 performers who have experienced homelessness from around the world. S.O.S. will perform via the screening of a music video at the concert. Other countries represented via film include Australia and Japan.
‘With One Voice’ is part of the London 2012 Festival and it will be the first time in history that homeless people have been given an official platform at celebrations for an Olympic and Paralympic Games. You can watch the event streamed online at www.with1voice.org.uk/watchlive from 6.30-9.30pm (GMT) on Monday, 2nd July.
