PRIOR LAKE, MN, August 12, 2012:

The South Metro Chorale (SMC), a well-known Prior Lake, MN community choir, has announced the appointment of Russell Adrian as its

Artistic Director effective July 1, 2012. Mr. Adrian, a recent graduate from the University of Wisconsin - Madison with a Masters

Degree in choral conducting, will begin programming his first concert for SMC this month. Adrian is currently pursuing a DMA in

Choral Conducting at the Univ. of Minnesota with Dr. Kathy Romey (director of the Minnesota Chorale) and Dr. Matthew Mehaffey

(director of the Oratorio Society of MN). Prior to his work in Madison, he served as Music Director at Western Mennonite School in Salem, OR. He

currently resides in Minneapolis with his wife and daughter.

Rehearsals with the South Metro Chorale begin September 4th at 7:00 PM at Hidden Oaks Middle School in Prior Lake. Those interested in auditioning
