Faure Requiem edition for performance with organ only

We plan to perform Faure Requiem with just organ, since our budget cannot stretch to even a chamber orchestra.
Is there are particular edition that is most satisfactory for this purpose?

The Rutter edition, published by Hinshaw in the USA or OUP in the UK, is my preferred edition.  There is also a Schirmer edition of the organ score of the full Requiem which could work with editions other than the Rutter.

The Rutter is the best edition for organ accompaniment.  Steer clear of the Kalmus Edition - a handful of mistakes throughout, and very poorly edited.

I second (third?) the use of the Rutter.  You might also consider a solo violinist and a harpist to add texture to things like the second and last movements, respectively.  Rutter's use of the violin, an octave higher in places, adds a very nice texture.
Also, think about the "Lux" in Lux Aeternam as a "dawning" kind of moment going into the apparent key change...

The Rutter edition, for sure. Did the piece last year with my chamber choir and they fell in love with it.

Barenreiter has published an arrangement for organ. It would be worth it to check it out.

You might like to look at my edition. Rather than buying the Rutter or Schirmer or Novello editions which retail expensively, why not take a look at an edition which is scholarly; which is inexpensive to buy;
which comes as a pdf for you to print and only involves a one-off cost to the purchaser. If you are interested I can e-mail selections to show the quality and musiciality of the edition. Send an e-mail to me
at smacmus(a) and I will send you examples.

I like Gene's suggestion.  Many years ago I did the requiem in a church with only organ and harp and it was successful.
