Participate in Verdi’s Requiem in Prague June 2013

Location: Czech Republic
Preannouncement: The well known Prague choir Pražský smíšený sbor celebrates it anniversary in June 2013 with a performance of Verdi’s Requiem at the St. Vitus Cathedral in Prague.
Foreign choirs are invited to join in and add their voices in this performance.
A performance of Verdi’s Requiem in Prague also is an acknowlegement  of Rafael Schaechter, the Prague conductor and choir master  who performed the Requiem 70 year ago at the concentration camp Terezi. He was murdered in Auschwitz 4 weeks after the last performance of the Jewish concentration camp choir.
Interested choirs are expected to come prepared and a time commitment  of one week (June 8 -15, 2013). During this week there will be multiple rehearsals (with and without orchestra), a pre-concert of excerpts, a day in Terezin and much more in the Golden City!
