Group celebrates 25 yearsDate: August 28, 2012
ISLE OF MAN, UK -- POPULAR Manx singing group Musicalé are marking their silver jubilee with a series of special events including concerts, social and fund-raising events.
The 22-strong ensemble performed for the very first time on July 29, 1987, and earlier this year made its 500th performance in concerts, festivals, services and charity events around the island and beyond.
Musicalé’s 25th anniversary celebrations were launched last week at Union Mills Church Hall. Over the last 25 years Musicalé has made prestigious and acclaimed stage appearances alongside classical chart-toppers The Priests and Russell Watson, as well as performing with Rick Wakeman, Chris de Burgh, Vince Hill and flamboyant American organ virtuoso Carlo Curley. |
